Nursing Science
Dr. ONASOGA, Olayinka Abolore, is currently a Reader in the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with 18 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience and other related nursing institutions. She is a registered nurse-midwife (RNM), registered midwife educator (RME), registered public health nurse (RPHN), and a Fellow of West African Postgraduate College of Nurses and Midwives (WAPCNM).
She graduated with a First-Class degree in Bachelor of Nursing Science(B.N.Sc.), an M.Sc. in MCH Nursing, and a Ph.D. in Advanced Midwifery & Neonatology. She is an expert in mixed-methods research
Her areas of research interest cover maternal and child health, neonatal health, women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, and adolescent health, with intense passion for policy-oriented studies.
She has over ninety publications in reputable outlets covering local, national, and international journals, edited conference proceedings, and chapters in books. She has successfully supervised many Undergraduate projects, Masters dissertations and Ph.D. theses. She is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria
